Ladies Changing Room is Growing!

The walls have come down and the new enlarged space looks great as it extends into the old bar store.

New Kitchen!

Ok well not quite. But we can now get the feel of it. This will be such an improvement over decades of running up and down the stairs with plates of hot food!

Building Progressing Well!

The building project is well under way now with the main shell of the extension up with the roof constructed. The gym has been completely stripped out and work about to commence to refurbish the room. Work also about to start on the ladies changing room and new bar store. Electrical work has also been prepared for phase 2. Completion date unknown at this time.  Work has commenced on looking at how the gym will operate and how it may be equipped once completed.

28th June. Meeting with Howard Sellers & Stew Chandler to decide on final agreed list of works re heating and air conditioning.  This has now been agreed and a contractor will now be appointed to work with the builder on the main works. DM

Building start date should be August 14th.  A pre meet with the builder and architect is being held on 4th July to sign the contracts. There is now other work being planned to support the main works to ensure that the works can take place on time and in a safe environment for club members.  DM.

Thursday 20th April - Meeting at club with architect Michael Weekley to discuss the upgrading of the heating system with Howard Sellers and Stew Chandler.  Agreed on strategy for heating to improve airflow using better ducting and moving water tank up a level situated where the heater boiler will be. No major expense is required to be made by replacing major parts at this stage other than an improved controls unit.  It was noted that the drains will require a slight adjustment to the internal plans around the gym WC and changing room.  MW will report back once this has been considered.

Project starts in Spring 2017!

We are pleased to be starting off our community project this year in preparation for the building and improvements to begin in 2017. This will be part of a long term strategy to place our club firmly at the centre of our community as a valued facility for the residents of Fair Oak and Horton Heath plus neighbouring villages and towns.
